RTTNews) - Product recovery and pollution control equipment maker Met-Pro Corp. (MPR: News ) Thursday reported a higher profit for the third quarter ended October 31, driven primarily by an increase in revenue.
Met-Pro’s net income for the quarter rose to $1.42 million or $0.10 per share from $1.02 million or $0.07 per share in the previous year’s third quarter.
The Harleysville, Pennsylvania-based company’s net quarterly sales grew 8% to $21.38 million from $19.81 million in the comparable quarter a year ago.
The company said that its backlog of orders as of the end of the quarter, totaled $21.2 million, an increase of 12% compared to last year.
