Integrated circuit maker Linear Technology Corp. on Tuesday reported higher profit in its third quarter, while saying the negative impact of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan might be offset by the company’s ability to source parts elsewhere.
Net income in the three months to April 3 rose 41 percent to $141.6 million, or 61 cents per share, compared with $100.6 million, or 44 cents per share, a year earlier.
Excluding stock-based compensation expenses and amortization of certain items, adjusted earnings came to 69 cents per share.
Regards,
Don
