Entertainment technology company Dolby Laboratories Inc. (DLB: News ), Monday said Research In Motion Ltd. (RIM.TO: News ,RIMM: News ) has agreed to enter into a license agreement for use of its advanced audio technologies.

The agreement ends the legal dispute that started on June 15, 2011 when Dolby sued the maker of BlackBerry phones and PlayBook tablets for the use of its patented technologies without obtaining licenses. Nevertheless, financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
