The coming week should prove a busy one for Asia in terms of key data and earnings, with more clues coming on the state of the Chinese and Australian economies and the fortunes of Asian chip makers.
On Monday, HSBC is due to release initial results from its China manufacturing purchasing managers index. The so-called “flash” PMI will be closely watched, especially by those who harbor strong doubts about Chinese government data and prefer the privately compiled measure for judging the economy there.
